Mario Natur NV
Mario Natur NV is a vibrant natural sparkling wine from Keltis in Bizeljsko, Slovenia, made from 85% Chardonnay and 15% Rumeni Plavec. Light-bodied and bone-dry, it combines crisp citrus and apple with chalky minerality and subtle bread and yeast notes.
The nose is fresh and floral, with yellow fruit, apple, and delicate yeasty aromas. On the palate, lively bubbles carry bright citrus and crisp apple, while extended lees aging adds a lightly bready texture and complexity. The finish is clean, mineral, and persistent.
The grapes are organically farmed and hand-harvested, then direct-pressed and spontaneously fermented with native yeasts. The wine is aged in large oak with bâtonnage on fine lees before finishing in bottle using the méthode ancestrale. It is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with no added sulfites.
