Sant’Or Agiorgitiko 2021 is a bold expression of 100% Agiorgitiko from the high-altitude vineyards of the Peloponnese, Greece. Deep ruby and medium to full-bodied, it combines juicy dark fruit with vibrant acidity, firm tannins, and a slightly wild, savory character.
The nose shows sour cherry, dark red fruit, and hints of licorice. On the palate, concentrated fruit is balanced by lively acidity and firm tannins, creating a structured wine with plenty of depth. Six months in old oak adds subtle complexity without overwhelming the character of the grape.
The grapes are certified organic and hand-harvested from vineyards at 900 meters elevation. They undergo spontaneous fermentation with 20 days of skin contact, followed by natural malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in old oak and bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with low sulfites.
