Slobodné Devina 2021

$34.00

Slobodné Devina 2021 is an expressive orange wine made from 100% Devín, a Slovak grape variety that crosses Gewürztraminer and Roter Veltliner. Medium to full-bodied, it combines intense floral and tropical aromatics with bright acidity, gentle tannins, and a slightly wild natural character.

The nose is vibrant with lychee, rose petals, orange peel, tropical fruit, and subtle spice. The palate is layered and textured, showing ripe stone fruit, citrus, and floral notes alongside a lightly tannic grip. Lively acidity keeps the wine balanced, while the finish is long, aromatic, and pleasantly grippy.

The wine undergoes semi-carbonic fermentation with a portion of whole clusters, combining intracellular and traditional fermentation. It is then aged in ovoid vessels before being bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with nothing added.
