Baša Tamjanika 2020
Tamjanika 2020 from Baša Vino is a full-bodied orange wine from Fruška Gora, Serbia, made from 100% Tamjanika, one of Serbia’s most aromatic native varieties. Golden amber in color, it combines intense florals and ripe fruit with savory spice and a beautifully structured palate.
The aromas are immediately expressive, with elderflower, jasmine, peach, orange rind, fresh ginger, and wild herbs. Despite its aromatic intensity, the palate is dry and balanced, with vibrant acidity, firm texture, and a subtle spicy edge. The finish is long, floral, and citrus-driven.
The grapes are organically and biodynamically farmed, dry-farmed, handpicked, and hand-sorted, with nine days of skin contact followed by 24 months of aging in new acacia barrels. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without added SO₂, natural sediment is part of the wine's character. Decanting is recommended.
Bring It to the Table
Its floral aromatics and spicy, textured palate make it especially fun with:
🍛 Moroccan tagine with apricots and warm spices
🥟 Dumplings with ginger, herbs, and chili
🐑 Grilled lamb with mint and cumin
🧀 Aged sheep’s milk cheese
🥜 Walnut- and herb-filled pastries
🫓 Mediterranean mezze with hummus, olives, and roasted peppers
Vintage: 2020
Producer: Baša Vino
Grape: 100% Tamjanika
Region: Fruška Gora, Serbia

Tasting Notes: Elderflower, jasmine, peach, orange rind, ginger, herbs, spice
Floral, dry, and beautifully textured. Tamjanika shows just how complex and captivating Serbia’s aromatic grapes can become in the hands of a natural winemaker.
